A Collection of Objects Passed Between the Left and Right Hands, 3 channel video installation, 2016
In A Collection of Objects Passed Between the Left and Right Hands, planes of reality touch but don’t fully intersect. Yet the traversal of objects and images indicates a perforation in the boundary that separates them. Each image brings with it a melodic line, adding to a building song.
“We touch our hands to televisions, gingerly press our cheeks to the screens of our cellphones. Two-dimensional and real, digital and spiritual spaces interact but cannot fully integrate. For comfort, we push against either side of the same boundary, caressing, relaying messages and images.”
